Tonnán is built on the idea of a ripple effect - how small recommendations can spread and connect people through music.

What began as a frustration with music discovery algorithms developed into a community-focused app designed to spotlight emerging Irish artists. Existing streaming platforms prioritising volume over quality, Irish musicians are often missing from everyday playlists. Tonnán responds to this with a community-driven approach, using a voting system and three modes of discovery to surface handpicked recommendations. Designed for curious listeners, the app encourages users to move beyond algorithm-driven feeds and engage with music more intentionally, whether through word-of-mouth suggestions or unexpected discoveries.
