Lyza Galetti - HuMAN
HuMAN explores how masculinity has shaped men's fashion and how clothing reflects social expectations around identity, choices, and behaviour.
The magazine explores how attitudes toward masculinity shifted over time, particularly during the AIDS crisis of the 1980s and 1990s, when fear, stigma, and increased queer visibility influenced the way men expressed themselves through clothes. Through historical research and editorial storytelling, the magazine investigates how menswear evolved from rigid visual codes toward more expressive forms of identity. By combining typography, photography, and layout design, the magazine presents fashion as a cultural language that reflects how masculinity continues to change every day.
