Aimee Walsh - Hidden Gems
Hidden Gems is a website and social media campaign celebrating the art of second-hand fashion, aimed squarely at a Gen Z audience.
In a world where fast fashion feeds ever-growing landfills, Hidden Gems makes the case that sustainable style isn't a compromise, it's a statement. The project challenges the idea that you need to buy new to look good. Through confident, expressive photography, it reframes thrifting not as something to hide, but something to own. Unique pieces are out there waiting to be found, and the people wearing them have never looked better. Beyond the visuals, Hidden Gems pulls back the curtain on charity shops - their secrets, their hidden value, and the life skills learning to shop smarter. Vox pop interviews offer a behind-the-scenes perspective rarely seen by the public, while a cinematic promotional video ties it all together: a showcase of style, self-assurance, and fashion built to last. The message is simple, think twice and take a stroll to the local charity shop before placing that next Shein order.
