Dino Dervisic - Just Shoot
The world of sports photography can be a frantic, high-stakes hunt for the split second that defines a magical moment.
While we get to see the final photographs, we often don't see the hard work and determination that photographers endure. Just Shoot is a documentary that focuses on two amateur photographers, Matthew Lysaght and Eoghan Connelly, who have shot everything from local teams to national events in a variety of sports, and have shown a huge passion for sports photography. The documentary also follows Bryan Keane, a former Olympian and now professional sports photographer who has covered major sporting events including the Olympic Games. We hear stories behind their favourite photos and focus on the personal triumphs of the people behind the lens. Just Shoot is an intimate look at the people who withstand all conditions to ensure a fleeting moment of glory is never forgotten.
About Dino
Dino Dervisic is a Creative Digital Media graduate, with a passion for video editing and content creation. What started off as a fun activity in his early teens using Magisto and iMovie has become an obsession over recent years through college projects, internships and overseas experiences. Creative Digital Media has given Dino an opportunity to acquire a range of skills but also to home in on specific skills such as videography and editing through projects like this. Dino has also done an internship at Hedgehogs vs Foxes, a video production company and was an editor and head of media at Camp Echo in USA. Volunteering as a social media manager at his local football club Castleknock Celtic, Dino hopes that this will be one of the first steps into the sports world as he dreams of working as a sports videographer/editor.
