In the heart of Rush, Co. Dublin, the Morgan family carries the flame of a dying craft of farriery, which is passed down through eight proud generations.
Brendan and his son Gary are the last two in a long line of master farriers, known throughout the town for their unmatched skill, unwavering dedication, and love for horses. Their work is as dangerous as it is vital, shaping molten steel and taming raw power under hoof. But as tradition fades and modern life moves on, a question looms, will young Taigh who is Garys son step into the forge, or will this ancient legacy come to its end?
This documentary is a visceral journey into the heart of a vanishing trade, exploring the grit, danger, and heritage of those who live by the anvil and what’s at stake if the hammer falls silent.
