Snizhana Sokolova - The Home I Carry
The Home I Carry is an interactive digital exhibition exploring how the idea of "home" is shaped through memory and experiences of displaced Ukrainians.
The project invites viewers to engage with a series of installations - "object", "place", "language", "routine", and "body" - activated through touch and movement, supported by a set of projections aimed at setting the tone of the space and drawing the audience into the experience. Using layered visuals, text, and interaction, the work reflects how home can be carried within us through everyday fragments, emotions, and personal stories.
About Snizhana
Snizhana Sokolova is a 2026 Creative Digital Media graduate at Technological University Dublin. Originally from Ukraine, her experience as an immigrant has shaped how she sees and approaches her work, particularly in relation to identity, place, and belonging. Over the course of her studies, she has worked across a range of projects, including branding, graphic design, photography, video and audio production, web design, and interactive work, exploring different ways of visually communicating her ideas. During her internship at TBWA Ireland, she gained experience working in a fast paced creative environment, developing an understanding of how ideas are shaped and communicated in a professional context. She continues to develop her work while building on the skills gained throughout her studies and professional experience, and intends to explore new ideas and push her work further through future projects and career opportunities.
