Shane Dunne - A Youth Club for Old Blokes
This project is an exploration of the community and connection that is found in Men's sheds in Dublin.
The Walkinstown Men's shed is focused on in this documentary. The documentary explores their experiences in the shed, the affect being a member in the shed has had on them and the work that they do in the shed along with the wonderful culture and environment that they have built in their group. Interviews are shown with members along with footage of some of the members taking part in the work, working on projects for the community.
About Shane
Shane is a 23-year-old Creative Digital Media graduate. Shane has a strong passion for filmmaking, video-production, and storytelling. Over the past four years, Shane has gained a wide range of skills and experiences as a creative, working with companies like the Association of Irish Powerchair Football Ireland and Dublin Library. These experiences have helped him develop and connect with people while preparing to work on bigger projects in the future.
