Jennifer Cordial - A Mind in Motion
A Mind in Motion is a print and motion installation, taking you inside the mind of individuals with ADHD.
The installation explores five key ADHD symptoms, identified through research undertaken with individuals diagnosed with ADHD. Using a range of design approaches, the project visualises experiences and emotions that are often difficult to express, with each symptom presented through different design elements and mediums. This project is based on the real, lived experiences of those with ADHD, and visitors can hear individuals share their personal stories throughout the installation. The ADHD mind is busy, chaotic, and often misunderstood; this work offers an honest, raw, and personal insight into the experience of living with the disorder. The purpose of this installation is to raise awareness of ADHD, fostering greater empathy and understanding. It may also act as a conduit for those who recognise these symptoms in themselves, encouraging further exploration and consideration of a formal diagnosis.
