The Waiting Game is a short film that focuses on Eoghan, a young man dealing with anxiety surrounding his love life and online dating, at the restaurant he meets Kate, a woman in her early 20s who is confident and sure of herself. Eoghan's nerves are what spark the conversation between the pair. Throughout the evening Kate distracts and gives advice to Eoghan to help him manage his anxiety. This short romantic comedy focuses on the theme of connection in the modern world.
About Alexander
Alexander John Hanratty is a 23 year old Creative Digital Media graduate. He was born in France but moved to Ireland at a young age. Through his college experience he discovered a passion for story-writing and film-making. In 2024, he made his writing and directorial debut in a group project titled "Make it to Friday" to positive reviews. Since then, Alexander has worked on many of his own scripts and intends on making many more films in the coming years.
