Headache
An art installation that showcases the distortion of reality in the lens of sleep deprivation
Headache is an art installation that delves into the distortion of reality that occurs as a result of sleep deprivation. Sleep is a vital part of human life; sleep deprivation has both psychological and physical impacts on our bodies and minds. The installation uses footage of numerous locations from vast Karst landscapes and beaches too tightly packed nightclubs to empty bus journeys home. The aim is to produce a visual representation of the effects of sleep deprivation, explore how it interferes with the human sleep cycle, and show how the lack of sleep can distort and warp our perceptions
