Some creative works by Year 2 students on their latest Video and Audio 1 assignment
Third year students went on a Field trip, as part of the Video Production module, to Filmbase and the Kerlin Gallery on Wednesday November 10.
At Flmbase we were given an overall presentation of the services they provide, the classes they teach and screened a short they are proud of called ‘Tutfy. Ali a former intern, gave a talk on how he began working in Filmbase over 6 years ago.
We then strolled over to the Kerlin Gallery, off South Anne st, where we saw a 25 minute screening from video artist Phil Collins, called ‘Marxism Today’. This video is well worth seeing in terms of the editing techniques and his approach to documentary making. The exhibition is running until Saturday November 20th. www.kerlin.ie
