My 8bit youth remembered

Lets face it, most of the students studying digita media were born with psp’s! In many cases their first gaming system was a Playstation. Let us bring you back to the glorious days of 8 bit gaming, when games came on tapes and had to be loaded via a tape deck (all 48k of them)

For many of you the terms Spectrum 48k, Commodore 64 and Amiga are meaningless. For us old fogies, they were the most advanced gaming systems on the planet for their time and the following video is a tribute to the wonderful world of 8 bit.

Its also a stunning example of hard work and some stop frame animation

That video is amazing, the animation is brilliant and the soundtrack is fantastic, I would love to be able to make movies like this. I vaguely remember the Commodore 64 that my cousin owned but my first computer was a commodore Amiga and my first console was a Super Nintendo, how things have changed since then with ps3s, 360s and quad-core gaming pc’s:)
